Stellan Vinthagen är professor i sociologi vid University of Massachusetts, Amherst och vid Göteborgs universitet, och forskar om sociala rörelser, makt, motstånd och samhällsförändring. Han skrev en avhandling 2005 inom freds- och utvecklingsforskning, vid Göteborgs universitet, som handlar om ickevåldsaktioner och civil olydnad. I två föreläsningar arrangerade av Kristna Freds ger Stellan Vinthagen, professor i Sociologi och forskaraktivist, en exposé över möjligheterna och metoderna för dagens och framtidens civila motstånd.
